More than 30 polish planners came together for Urban Benchmarking Workshop on November 6 at the Polish Ministry for Regional Development to discover urban benchmarking as policy learning tool.
This event hosted by Polish ESPON Contact Point featured insightful presentations, fruitful talks and a collaborative working sessions. “Benchmarking allows policy makers to facilitate comparisons between spatial units in order to learn about their performance in a broader context of global network of competing cities. It gives possibility to identify strengths and weaknesses of the city, which is crucial for strategic learning.” - said Katarzyna Wojnar from EUROREG, Polish ECP coordinator.
