CALL FOR PAPERS

Ukrainian Special Issue of "Regional and Local Studies"

The SRiL special issue is dedicated to papers presenting research results on the local and regional development of Ukraine. The Special Issue is a response to the challenging situation of Ukrainian scholars due to the Russian invasion as well as the growing demand for knowledge on Ukrainian issues. We invite scholars, in particular from Ukraine, regardless of their current location.

Authors interested in responding to this Call for Papers are encouraged to send their articles on economic, social, environmental and political aspects of regional and local development, both from national and international perspectives. We accept papers in English, of the length of about 40,000-50,000 characters with spaces. A short abstract (max 100 words) and keywords (max 6) should be added as well as the basic information about all authors (affiliation with institution’s address, authors’ e-mails and correspondence postal addresses) as well as all appropriate acknowledgements.

"Studia Regionalne i Lokalne" (Regional and Local Studies) is a leading Polish quarterly journal in the empirical analysis as well as theoretical development in the field of regional and local studies. Founded in 2000, the quarterly is edited by the Centre for European Regional and Local Studies EUROREG (University of Warsaw) and the Polish section of the Regional Studies Association.

"Studia Regionalne i Lokalne" is an open-access journal published under the CC BY-NC-ND 3.0 license, without any publication fees. The Journal has been indexed in the following databases: SCOPUS, EBSCO, ERIH PLUS, The Central European Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (CEJSH), and Central and Eastern European Online Library (CEEOL) and BazEkon.

Email submissions of articles should be sent to the address sril.euroreg@uw.edu.pl. In the case of multi-author articles, please send a copy of the e-mail (CC) with the submission of the article also to the other co-authors.

Submissions will be subject to the peer-review process. Details of ‘Studia Regionalne i Lokalne’ publication and evaluation process are available on the Journal’s website.

Since we are aware that the situation in Ukraine is now difficult and hard to predict, we did not set any deadline for submitting the papers. We collect articles continuously. We are ready to publish even more than one special issue if we receive enough papers that will be accepted by the reviewers.
