CAPITAL CITIES: CHANGES AND OPPORTUNITIES

EUROREG researchers Maciej Smętkowski and Adam Płoszaj took part in seminar "Capital cities: embracing the change and tapping into opportunities".

The event was held on 13th December 2013, in Riga, Latvia within the RSA Research Network “The impact of global economic crisis on capital cities”.

Maciej Smętkowski presented a paper "Regional development patterns in CEECs – focus on capital city regions in crisis period", while Adam Płoszaj gave a speech about R&D performance of capital cities in Europe. The event was co-organized by EUROREG - University of Warsaw, Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence - University of Latvia and Baltic Interregional Development hub, Latvia.
