EUROREG STUDENTS' SUCCESS

Between 22-24 February 2013 in Warsaw there took place the 7th Polish Parliamentary Debating Championships. A team from the University of Warsaw: Sylwia Borkowska (EUROREG) and Sławomir Pawlak (Institute of Sociology) took 2nd place.
In the Championships, organised by the "University of Warsaw Debating Club" and the Foundation "Poland Debates", participated 28 teams from the whole country. The motion of the final debate was: This House believes that political parties should be subject to anti-monopoly laws.
Parliamentary debates have bocome more and more popular form of discussing public issues among young Poles. During 7-minutes-long speeches participants deliver argumentation regarding a motion, training precise thoughts expression and constructive critisism.
