The project aims to examine the strategies and practices adopted by technical universities in different countries in response to global and regional crises.

Expected starting date and employment period:
13 months, starting in November 2026 or as soon as the position is filled.
Salary:
At least PLN 9,450 gross per month for a full-time position, plus the statutory additional annual salary ("13th salary"). The final amount depends on the successful candidate's length of service. More information: LINK

The position does not involve teaching duties. The position includes business travel.

Main responsibilities:
Participation in the IMPRESS-U research project, in particular:
-
preparing research instruments, including interview guides,
-
collecting data, including conducting interviews with stakeholders,
-
compiling and organising statistical data,
-
reviewing and analysing regulations and strategic documents,
-
communicating with international project partners,
-
preparing reports and academic publications,
-
participating in meetings of the national research team and the international consortium.

Eligibility requirements:
Applicants must meet the requirements set out in Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2024, item 1571) and the National Science Centre (NCN) Regulations, including:
-
a PhD in Social Sciences or Humanities awarded no earlier than 2014,
-
fluency in both Polish and English, spoken and written.
Additionally, we expect:
-
a strong record of academic achievements, particularly publications,
-
an interest in the project's research topics,
-
experience with MAXQDA software or willingness to acquire such skills.
Upon employment, the University of Warsaw is expected to be the successful candidate's primary place of work.
Evaluation criteria:
-
scientific achievements, particularly publications in reputable academic publishers or peer-reviewed journals – 50% of the final score,
-
other academic achievements, including participation in research projects, scholarships, awards, research experience gained in Poland or abroad, and participation in scientific workshops and training – 40% of the final score,
-
competencies relevant to the implementation of the research project, particularly experience related to higher education institutions and research systems – 10% of the final score.
The position is not associated with activities involving the protection of minors.
