Mgr Piotr Miszczuk
PhD student in the discipline of Socio-Economic Geography and Spatial Planning at the University of Warsaw’s Doctoral School of Social Sciences. He is writing his doctoral thesis entitled "Spatial diversity and factors influencing the choice of residence among entrepreneurs in Warsaw" under the supervision of Prof. Maciej Smętkowski as part of the National Science Centre (NCN) project "The post-socialist city in the era of metropolisation: transformations of Warsaw’s social space in the 21st century", where he holds a research fellowship.
Between 2022 and 2023, he was employed as a research fellow at the Science Studies Laboratory (University of Warsaw), where he researched flight shame. Previously, he was involved in the following projects: Transformations of metropolitan workspaces in the era of global challenges – the impact of co-working spaces and the evolution of their model on urban space, using Warsaw as a case study (2021–2022) and The Impact of European Union Funds on Regional and Local Development in Poland in the Light of International Experience (NCN) (2018–2022).
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from the Warsaw School of Economics (2018) and a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Warsaw (2022). He completed the cycle of studies in two other Master’s programmes: Quantitative Methods in Economics and Information Systems (SGH) and Regional and Local Studies (EUROREG, University of Warsaw).
Between 2018 and 2023, he worked as a radio journalist in the English Section of Polish Radio (Radio Poland). Since 2024, he has been working as a reporter for TVP World.
