Academic Profile 

Ph.D. in Management, a fellow of the Kosciuszko Foundation (George Washington University), and participant of Professor Elinor Ostrom’s seminars (Indiana University). He finished his MA Studies at the European Institute of Public Administration (Public Administration) and is a graduate of EUROREG – Warsaw University (spatial economy). He has over ten year experience in applied research and evaluation, and has carried out analyses of public programmes and policies in Poland, Holland, Great Britain, Ireland, and the United States. He is the author of a number of publications and expertises on evaluation and public management. His principal fields of interest are: public policy evaluation, regional development, contemporary management in government institutions and adult learning. Since 2008 he has supervised the Academy of Evaluation – postgraduate studies for public administration officers. He is currently employed as an Assistant Professor in the Centre for European Regional and Local Studies (EUROREG) at the University of Warsaw. Karol Olejniczak currently coordinates project "Polish Ministries as Learning Organizations" (www.mus.edu.pl).
