Academic Profile 

Assistant professor at the Centre for European Regional and Local Studies (EUROREG),  University of Warsaw. Specialising in regional development, human capital and education economics. Engaged in several  research projects on the determinants of regional growth, the measurement of educational quality and the financing of education systems. Author of numerous research articles and books on the metropolitan  business cycle, management and financing of education systems, regional economic growth, differentiation of educational achievements, and human capital mobility. Advisor to the public administration in Poland, Ukraine, Montenegro, Bulgaria. Member of the Polish section of Regional Studies Association. Editor in Studia Regionalne i Lokalne (quarterly). Former member of the Strategic Advisors Team to the Prime Minister of Poland
